Account questions

How do I get started?

Visit our signup page, enter your details, and submit the form. We recommend using a Gmail address. Click the verification link in your welcome email, log in, and then visit the member-only Getting Started Guide to set up your profile and advertising.

How do I delete my account?

You can use the “Delete my account” button at the bottom of your profile page or submit a support ticket asking us to remove your account information and suspend the account. Suspension keeps the account accessible only to administration.

How do I resend my verification email?

Check your spam or junk folder first. You can resend the verification email from the site navigation panel or the login page. If you need to change your email address, submit a support ticket with the name and email used at signup and your new email address.

How do I add my picture?

We use Gravatar. Create a Gravatar account with the same email address used on 500BestHits, upload your image, and give it a “G” rating. You can also add multiple email addresses to one Gravatar account.

How do I cancel my upgrade or subscription?

Log in to PayPal and locate payments to Jamie Hargrave Online Services. Open the recurring payment details, confirm the subscription information, and select Cancel. Visit PayPal.

Why was my account suspended?

Accounts may be suspended for failed surf-verification questions, clicking accuracy below 80%, detected cheating, or failure to comply with our Terms and Conditions. Submit a support ticket so we can explain the reason and, where possible, restore your account.

Surfing & credits

Why can’t I surf?

You need at least one website added and auto-assign credits configured. Complete the Basic Setup in the member-only Getting Started Guide, then you can begin surfing and earning advertising credits.

Do you have a daily surf limit?

Yes. The normal limit is 501 pages per member per day. This helps prevent over-surfing and credit farming while giving all members a fair opportunity to earn credits. During occasional promotions, the limit may temporarily increase—for example, to 1,001 pages—with advance notice by email.

How do I start surfing and earning credits?

After adding your website and configuring auto-assign, click “Surf.” When the timer reaches zero, click the icon that matches the reference icon in the surf bar. A correct selection credits your account and loads the next advertisement.

Why didn’t I receive credit for a click?

You do not receive credit if you select the wrong surf-bar icon. If you selected the correct icon, try clearing your browser cache and cookies. If the problem continues, reboot your modem or flush your computer’s DNS cache.

Why are the surf-bar icons not loading?

This can happen during busy server periods or because of internet connection lag. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies or rebooting your modem.

Advertising

Why is my site paused or suspended, or why can’t I add it?

Our security system continually checks sites in rotation. A site may be paused or suspended for administrative review if a potential issue is detected. Paused sites that pass review are usually enabled during our regular checks.

If a site is suspended, you can delete it to receive a full refund of its assigned credits and try adding it again. Sites on the member-only banned-sites list will remain suspended.

Rewards & games

How do I receive my signup bonus?

Your signup bonus is added after you surf 100 pages. This applies only to first-time new members.

Do I have to play games and claim prizes?

No. Games are optional and provide a break from viewing ads. You can continue surfing instead. Some rewards must be claimed manually; for example, Surfer Rewards and Promo Codes are entered from the Members Area page.

Referrals

How do I get referrals?

Promote your affiliate links through traffic exchanges, mailing sites, or other lawful channels. Always follow the anti-spam laws that apply in your country. After joining, you can find promotional materials in the Affiliate Toolbox. Upgraded members may also receive random referrals from homepage or search-engine signups.
